From Grain to Glass
Finest Ingredients
Our single estate winter wheat, cultivated with great care at the Råbelöf Estate in Southern Sweden, is produced exclusively for Elyx Vodka. Paired with pristine water drawn from an aquifer just a few miles from our distillery, and refined through our unique copper distillation process, our blend of carefully chosen ingredients and meticulous attention to detail culminates in the exquisite taste of Elyx Vodka. Because only the finest will do.

PURE, PRISTINE WATER
From mashing to fermentation, water plays an integral role at every stage of vodka production. The pristine water used for Elyx Vodka comes from a single source just a few miles from the distillery, one of the world’s purest aquifers, deep beneath the earth yet right below our feet. To preserve this invaluable resource for tomorrow, we have made water conservation one of our core sustainability goals.
The water, naturally filtered through boulder-ridge and limestone bedrock for thousands of years, remains untouched by modern pollution. It’s exceptionally pure, low in minerals, and possesses a delicate character.

Swedish Winter Wheat
Every drop of Elyx Vodka is meticulously crafted from single estate winter wheat grown at the Råbelöf Estate, a long-time, family-owned country home in Southern Sweden that has consistently kept the highest quality crops for hundreds of years. Characterized by its cold, dry winters and long, warm summers, the location of Råbelöf Estate is optimal for growing winter wheat, the coveted raw spirit for Elyx Vodka.
Our winter wheat is sown in the fall of one year and harvested in the fall of the following year, taking twice as long as regular wheat. This process allows the wheat to develop its hard texture under a thick layer of Swedish snow. Such attention to detail is a testament to our unwavering pursuit of perfection.
Sourced from a Single Estate
Elyx Vodka is crafted exclusively from Winter Wheat grown at a single estate. The Råbelöf estate boasts the perfect terroir, with an ideal combination of soil type, micro-climate, topography, and tradition, resulting in winter wheat that is high in starch and medium in protein. These are precisely the qualities needed to produce the finest Vodka.
A process perfected for centuries
Little has changed since Råbelöf first began cultivating its wheat in the 1400s. Sown in September, the wheat kernels begin to germinate quickly, but the process slows with the arrival of autumn and the cold winter temperatures.
When spring arrives, the wheat bursts back into life. This six-month head start, combined with the long, warm summer days, allows the wheat to grow at an accelerated pace, resulting in the high starch content we cherish. Because you can’t rush the passage of time nor perfection.

Sustainable Farming
For generations, Råbelöf has produced crops of consistently high quality. To ensure this tradition continues, sustainable farming practices are essential. In 1997, we partnered with the Farmers Association and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences to develop a high-yield, sustainable farming concept, starting with GMO-free wheat.
The Choice of Winter Wheat
Elyx Vodka uses winter wheat for its numerous advantages over spring wheat. Sown in September and harvested in August, Winter Wheat reduces nutrient leakage during the rainy winter months. It requires no irrigation, aligning with our water conservation goals. Its established root system finds water before spring droughts, and cold winter temperatures naturally control pests, reducing pesticide use.
Consistency and Innovation
In collaboration with the local university, we have developed hardier, pest-resistant Winter Wheat varieties. Despite the different strains, we ensure no more than a 1% variance in starch content, guaranteeing consistent flavor and quality in every bottle of Elyx Vodka.
Caring for the Soil
We cultivate the soil sustainably by applying the right balance of nutrients, preventing leakage into lakes and rivers while avoiding soil impoverishment. Capture crops are planted between wheat harvests and ploughed back into the land to retain nitrogen and phosphorus for the next crop.
Råbelöf combines crop cultivation with pig and cow farming. Most fertilizer used is naturally produced by the animals, which are fed with the stillage left over from distillation. This circular process ensures nothing is wasted.
Responsible Pesticide Use
Elyx Vodka specifies the use of pesticides that are gentle on beneficial insects like bees and ladybirds, applied only where necessary and in prescribed amounts. Our recommendations are backed by field tests and scientific research.
A Shared Benefit
Our sustainable farming concept benefits everyone: the farmer, the environment, Elyx Vodka, and you – a connoisseur of the finest vodka. This commitment to sustainability ensures exceptional quality while nurturing the land that produces it.
